Gender Equality and Youth Mainstreaming

Youth mainstreaming is a comprehensive strategy to incorporate the concerns and experiences of young people in the planning and development cycle. It is also the integration of young people’s needs and contributions in all stages of planning, implementation and evaluation. It implies that youth concerns, visions and contributions are fully taken into account by all government ministries, departments and agencies as well as other institutions and organizations.

Women Enterprise Fund

Women Enterprise Fund (WEF) targets women with provision of accessible and affordable credit to start or expand businesses for wealth and employment creation. This in the Government’s commitment to the realization of sustainable development goals on Gender Equality and Women Empowerment (SDG 5). Established in August 2007,WEF is a Semi-Autonomous Government Agency in the Ministry of Public Service, Gender Affairs.  The fund has disbursed 16 Billion Kenya Shillings nationally.

50 Million African Women Speak (50MAWS)

50MAWS is a digital platform which is available via web and on mobile devices as an app. The platform is intended to empower millions of women in Africa to start, grow, and scale up businesses by providing a one-stop shop for their specific information needs.
